Midnight Bisou Punishes the Competition

Midnight Bisou punishes the competition in the Fleur De Lis stakes. Fresh from her return to the races from her second place finish to Maximum Security in the Saudi Cup, the world’s richest race.
Jockey Mike smith was back in the saddle to ride this 5 year-old black mare to an 8 1/4 length win in the prestigious Fleur de Lis stakes at Churchill Downs. It was her 13th in win from 21 starts for this mare out of Midnight Lute/Diva Delite for Bloom Racing and the winningest trainer at Churchill, Steve Asmussen.
Her Grade III-winning dam Diva Delite was purchased for $1.2 million from the Fasig-Tipton November Sale, in foal to Justify.
Serengetti Empress was the lone speed in the race with jockey Joe Talamo who was rundown in mid-stretch by Midnight Bisou as Mike Smith galloped home the victor.
